SGU IT Faculty Workshops on Internet Security
On the 20th April 2012, more than 30 students Singapore International School Lebak Bulus attended an Internet Security Workshop conducted by the Information Technology Faculty of Swiss German University. The goal of the workshop was to increase students awareness on the issue of Cyber Security, in particular issues related to the security of using Internet services. Various surveys have shown that most hacking centered around popular Internet services such as Facebook and Email accounts. In fact, there are more than 600,000 facebook accounts compromised each day according to sophos latest research.
Free Broadcast Journalism and Beauty Workshop on 5th May 2012
The students of Communication and Public Relations batch 2010 of Swiss German University are holding two workshops as a part of the SGU EduFest on the 5th May 2012 in BSD, Tangerang. The workshops are related to the world of communication, including “Make-up for Success”, an one hour free make-up session by the Body Shop to symbolize the importance of a good impression in the public relation world, and “Press Room”, a workshop for journalism enthusiasts. SGU Won Battle of Brains competition at the 16th ALSA National English Competition
From 26 April to 1 May 2012, Swiss German University competed in the 16th ALSA National English Competition organized by the Faculty of Law at the University of Indonesia. This is the oldest and probably the most prestigious English competition in Indonesia. SGU has enjoyed success most years in various categories. On this occasion, SGU sends team to the following categories: Battle of the Brains, Speech, Paper Presentation and Spelling Bee.
