The 17th International Workshop, experiential education program in Finland

 Swiss German University (SGU) participated in the 17th International Workshop which was held in Finland from 22 March to 4 April 2014 as part of it's commitment to provide quality education with international standards. The annual workshop was held for two weeks. Throughout the workshop,six students and one lecture of SGU along with 10 other worldwide participating universities were given the opportunity to work in a team filled with international students and to talk part in a business management simulation competition.

SGU Business Incubator Gains More Coverage on ANGIN Indonesia

 In order to expand the network of stakeholders of SGU’s technology and business incubator, the Deputy Director of KTIE (Knowledge Transfer, Innovation and Entrepreneurship), Kho I Eng and the officer of EDC (Entrepreneurship Development Center) in the IBA Department, Novia Ayu Pratama attended the presentation and discussion by GEPI (Global Entrepreneurship Program Indonesia) in which they introduced their new angel investors as part of the ANGIN Indonesia (Angel Investment Network Indonesia).

Opportunity to pursue career in Germany through “Make it in Germany”

 Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) Office Jakarta has been in cooperation with Swiss German University since 2013 for the implementation of the GIZ Project “Make it in Germany”. The project aims to assist  the interest of SGU Alumni in pursuing their careers in Germany. Since the initiation of the cooperation in 2013, three SGU alumni have gone to work in Germany. A new component of the program, “Traineeship-Programme 2014” was also introduced to SGU alumni, offering an opportunity to work as a trainee in a German company for six months.

Shopify Workshop 2014

 The Bachelor of Information Technology (BIT) Department, Swiss German University, realizes the importance of e-commerce in today’s business world. BIT wants  to enlighten not only  SGU students but also other communities that see the opportunities offered by e-commerce. Besides this, BIT wants to encourage its students to contribute to the development of the technologies used in e-commerce.
