SGU Alumni Work at Google

 A lot of people say that He is too ambitious, especially considering that He lives in Japan, where loyalty is valued highly. Yustinus Adika is alumni of Information Technology (IT) Study Program of SGU, working in Google Japan right now. Japanese companies look for people who are loyal to the company and people who plan to work at the company for the long term. “But I think that we don’t need to be afraid to take the step to leave our job for a better one – but don’t change jobs too often just because the work is boring or too demanding. You have to show that you are changing your job for a better careers”. Explained Yustinus.

SGU Orientation 2014 - Start Small Grow Bigger

SGU Orientation 2014 for new students of academic year 2014/2015 was held from September 20th to 22nd, 2014. The theme ‘Start Small Grow Bigger’ depicts the future of these bright new students – with a small step in beginning their study at SGU, they will grow to become mature individuals who are able to accomplish bigger things in life – The 3-days orientation was filled with motivation session, community service, fun games, talent show as well as team building activities.

SGU Undergraduate Students Win Award in International Conference

5Four students in The Food Tech Department of Swiss German University, Paramitha Avianti Dika, Ruth Damayanti Setiyono, Tia Raissha Hassanein, and Timothy Henry Suryodinoto joined the 3rd International Symposium on Processing of Foods, Vegetables and Fruits (ISPFVF 2014) in The Nottingham University Malaysia Campus.

IT Gathering 2014

 The Department of Information Technology held an IT Alumni Gathering on 4th July 2014 in conjunction with a breakfasting event in Mensa, Swiss German University. It was attended by IT alumni, BIT, MIT students, lecturers and SGU Staff. There were around 35 people attending this event.

SGU Student Association actively participates in developing the university

 Friday, 20 June 2014 – Recently, the representatives of the SGU Student Association (MPM & BEM) had an open and constructive discussion with the Rector of Swiss German University, Prof. Dr. Martin Loeffelholz, and with the Head of The Internship Department, Ms. Mina Arsita. Representing the students of Swiss German University, MPM and BEM strive to support the university in ensuring that students receive the best learning experience.
