The Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology (FEIT), Swiss German University (SGU) organized a Commencement Ceremony for Cohort #1 of its Bridging Program, under an academic collaboration between PT Gajah Tunggal Tbk., SGU, and Polytechnic of Gajah Tunggal on May 30, 2017 at Polytechnic of Gajah Tunggal campus. This collaboration started on March 6, 2015 and has successfully delivered 30 alumni of Mechatronics. The education foundation of the alumni includes Mechanical Engineering and Electrical Engineering.

The Graduates with Rector of SGU, Director of Polytechnic GT, Director of HRD PT Gajah Tunggal Tbk., Dean of FEIT and SGU Lecturers

The academic cooperation between the Faculty of Engineering and IT (FEIT) with PT Gajah Tunggal Tbk, and Polytechnic of Gajah Tunggal was a bridging program toward a bachelor degree initiated based on the commitment to support the development of human capital at PT Gajah Tunggal Tbk. The bridging program was especially designed in the field of Mechanical Engineering in the concentration of Mechatronics.

30 students graduated from this academic collaboration program, 10 of whom successfully made the Dean’s List Award recipients for Academic Excellence earning a cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) above 3.6. The top three students also received a special award delivered by the Director of HRD on behalf of PT Gajah Tunggal Tbk.

The commencement ceremony for cohort #1 of the bridging program was opened by the Dean of FEIT-SGU, Dr. Ir. Gembong Baskoro, M.Sc,  followed by the Dean’s list award ceremony honoring the outstanding students. The awards were presented by Dr. rer. nat. Filiana Santoso (Rector of SGU), Dr. Ita Mariza (Director of Polytechnic GT), and Dr. Jusup Agus Sayono (HRD Director of PT Gajah Tunggal Tbk.). The session continued with a speech delivered by the Rector of SGU, the Director of Polytechnic GT, and the Director of HRD PT Gajah Tunggal Tbk. Furthermore the Rector of SGU presented the final report of the academic program collaboration and a memory book to the Director of HRD PT Gajah Tunggal Tbk. A similar presentation was also made by the Dean of FEIT-SGU to the Director of Polytechnic of Gajah Tunggal. The last session was valediction speech from the representative of students continued with student thesis products exhibition. 

The bridging program of PT Gajah Tunggal Tbk., SGU, and Polytechnic of Gajah Tunggal will be continued for Industrial Engineering in the coming months. FEIT-SGU welcomes to the new students of Cohort #2 of the Industrial Engineering bridging program.
