SWISS GERMAN UNIVERSITY 2nd OPEN HOUSE

BSD, 12 December 2015 — Swiss German University held the second Open House targeting students for the 2016 intake.  More than 150 prospective university students and family members attended this session which included exhibitions from each faculty to all visitors who could not join the first Open House held in October 2015. The visitors were given a glimpse of life as a Swiss German University students as their gateway to global success.

The event was opened by SGU Director of Communication, Ms. Christie Kanter and followed by an SGU overview delivered by Dr. Dipl.-Ing. Samuel P. Kusumocahyo, Dean of Life Sciences Faculty explaining SGU’s teaching philosophy, international focus, and priorities in character development.

“Now that we are in the globalization era, all students should be ready to face it. SGU will prepare the students to take part in industrial fields and prioritize their character development with the guidance of qualified lecturers,” said Pak Samuel.

After the SGU overview, one of SGU’s students, Krissan Malinda from Pharmaceutical Engineering 2013, delivered a testimony. This testimony gave a view to all prospective students of how Swiss German University provides great education quality with character development orientation and prepares  students to be ready for industrial work. Krissan will be conducting her Semester 6 internship at Bayer Pharma company in Germany from January-June 2016.

Campus experience was also delivered through faculty and study program sessions from the Deans and Heads of Study Programs.  Prospective students and parents received specific descriptions and explanations regarding the programs they were interested in as well as given an opportunity to discuss matters with lecturers and students’ representatives. SGU also provided consultation for prospective students and parents who were interested in registering for the enrollment.
