6th semester Abroad

Students, who successfully pass their 4th semester and the German diagnostic tests, oral and written, are eligible for an internship in Germany or Switzerland.

The internship period in Germany is from the 1st week of February - 31st August. During this time, students will be registered as students at FH Südwestfalen/University of Applied Science of South Westphalia, Soest, as well as at SGU. For immigration reasons, the internship in Switzerland can last a maximum of four months.

SGU has no influence on the company's decision about the salaries for students. Pocket money varies based on each company's policy.

SGU will apply to the German Embassy in Jakarta for entry visas, which are valid for 3 months, for all students qualified for the internship. SGU will apply to the relevant departments in Germany for the final visas and working permits. The German entry visa will be valid for the “Schengen” space (including Switzerland).

Alternatives are internships in an Asian country or countries other than Germany/Switzerland. SGU will neither assist nor will be responsible for applying for the stay- and working permits for students who wish to do their internship in an Asian country and countries other than Germany and Switzerland. There is no double degree.

6th semester in Indonesia

SGU will assist students in their application for an internship place in Indonesia. Students doing an internship in Indonesia are required periodically to be present at SGU for special courses (two days per month). There is no double degree.
