Communication and Public Relations (CommPR) program organized seminars for SGU students covering media literacy issues in collaboration with I-News TV (MNC Group) on Friday, 28 April 2017. This event titled “Peran Media Dalam Memperkuat Kebhinekaan Bangsa”.
Dr. rer. Nat. Filiana Santoso, rector of the Swiss German University, together with Mrs. Deborah Nauli Simorangkir, Ph.D, head of the Communication & Public Relations program, and several lecturers and staff of CommPR program hosted the guests from I-News TV including Mr. Nico Uskono, CSR Manager of I-News TV and Mr. Driantama Riwahju Susilamoerti, Head of Corporate Secretary I-News TV.
This event held as part of giving more knowledge to students about how media literacy can affect in their activities as student and in their future career. Furthermore, their knowledge of media literacy also avoids them from trap in issues that can disrupt the harmony of the nation.
There are 3 seminars held in this event. The first seminar is Managing Communication in Crisis by Mr. Nico Uskono. Second seminar is talk about social media in its role changing the human behavior by Mrs. Loina Perangin-angin, M.Si, lecturer of Communication & Public Relations program. The last session is coaching clinic from I-News TV presenter, Mr. Abraham Silaban.
